Microscopic haematuria and proteinurea

Incidental microscopic harmaturia

• gp to repeat once a month and if persistent refer after 6 months .
• Check BP .
• Before they refer at 6 months to check bloods , renal USS , urine for ca/ creat and check urine for parents. That will make our appointment much more efficient( gain 2 appointments)
• if proteinuria, abnormal BP or significant family history to refer ealier .

Proteinurea

If protein is positive recheck on first morning urine and if positive send for urine protein creatine ratio.
